Fly1.wmv --The first two helicopter crash videos appear to be due to engine failure. The first one demonstrates how to NOT make a single engine water takeoff. The Russian pilot tucked the nose of the helicopter to far down during the attempted single engine water takeoff which allowed the main rotor blades to strike the water. Pilot Error due to a bad technique.
Fly2.wmv --The Chinook hovering over the bridge structure appears to have had an engine failure at that critical moment. The helo settled slightly and the main rotor blades struck the large ornament hanging on the hook below him.
Fly3.wmv --The Coast Guard accident was due to the loss of tail rotor thrust ( note the tail rotor was not turning as they were spinning in the hover) and the pilot should have remained on the water instead of getting airborne again with a rescue swimmer on the hoist.
